We spent our first time at this restaurant celebrating an anniversary, and this was a 10/10 would recommend. Everything from the crispy pork belly to the lamb shank and chicken pierogies finishing strong with the chocolate parfait was to absolutely die for!! I’m still craving that pork belly and parfait. Lovely atmosphere and such great servers. It was a lovely experience and will be sure to spread the word and be back!
My partner and I frequently gravitate towards Brassica to celebrate special moments, have meals with friends or family, or when we simply want a great meal that we know is consistently delicious. I have tried many items on the menu and they are always perfectly balanced, well seasoned, and have a variety of texture in each bite. New dishes are frequently introduced to the menu and never disappoint, each time wondering why I waited between so long between my last visit! Although a casual dinning restaurant, the staff are always very pleasant and attentive, never missing a beat. There’s a great variety of drinks and mocktails that suit different palates. Brassica is the first restaurant I recommend to Ottawa natives or those visiting the city. Give Brassica a try, you won’t be disappointed.
The meal was absolutely fantastic! We started with the croquettes and seared scallops. I loved the texture of the croquettes but the scallops were my favorite app - very tender and the depth of flavors on the plate with the pickled raisins, almonds, and cauliflower/cheese puree worked extremely well. I had the beef short rib, which was cooked perfectly to a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, and went nicely with the hash brown and other flavours. My partner really enjoyed the chicken and we both loved the banoffee pie. I'd gladly have the exact same thing here but there are so many things that looked good on the menu that we'll have to come back and try them all!
Had a fantastic experience at brassica restaurant. It was my birthday, and it fell on the Wednesday night tapas. Service was fantastic, constantly clean plates, cutlery, and conversation. Food was absolutely delicious. We got 5 different tapas- each made with tons of flavor, and honestly felt like art on a plate. Everything was fantastic, a few stand outs are that the fries are double fried, and very crispy! A lovely touch, as rarely restaurants do this anymore. The arincini was crispy, and cheesy. The most delicious thing though was the roasted cauliflower dish, I don't know how cauliflower could be this delicious but trust me-- I'm still thinking about it!! The beef sort rib was melt in your mouth, I didn't even need the knife. Everything is prepared fresh and with local ingredients. I truly appreciate the hard work this restaurant put in on the quality of this food, it was truly top notch.
Definitely a new favorite in Ottawa. The yellowfin tuna crudo was an outstanding starter (we also had the arancini and the fried cauliflower salad). The Crispy Skin Salmon, Beef Shortrib and the Scallops & Pork Belly were excellent mains. And the Banoffee Pie was to die for. Over and over again!
Came here with my family and we ordered the set 3 course and regular apps mains. The scallop app was delicious and very fresh. All the food came with beautiful presentation and amazing flavour. The desserts were also great! Would 100% recommend the banoffee pie, great flavours and filling. Top restaurant in Ottawa!
Everything was perfect . Service , atmosphere, the food ! Perfect spot for a date night with a menu that’s not overwhelming or complicated . Loved the blend of flavors that I was not expecting but totally loved
An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The limoncello spritz was refreshing! The tuna and scallop appetizer was a standout: fresh, delicate, and beautifully presented. And the beef shank was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every dish showed attention to detail and high-quality ingredients. The ambiance and service made it all even better. Highly recommended!
